Car Parks

In recent years the Vale Commons Council started a programme of car park improvements. The Council manages 16 car parks stretching from Vale Church to Fort Doyle. The Vale Church car park went under an extensive renovation in 2019. The whole area was resurfaced, spaces were marked out and trees planted, all of which made the area more practical and visually appealing. The area also saw the introduction of disc parking and 16 private spaces available for rental.

This large project was carried out in order to reduce the amount of fly tipping of cars which had become a significant issue over the previous few years. The result has been a smarter area and easier access and parking for those using the Church and cemetery or the surrounding area. The introduction of disabled parking has given greater accessibility. The reduction of the fly tipped cars means less cost and administrative work for the Council who had to deal with their disposal.

The Vale Church car park- Rented spaces

As part of the refurbishment of the Vale Church car park, 16 designated rental spaces were added. These are ideal for those in the area who do not have parking and want a private space available for use 24/7.

The spaces cost £100 per month and are available to rent by contacting the Vale Commons Council. Please email: valecommon@gmail.com
